Position Summary
Administers assigned systems applications at The ERIE. Functions as business sponsor and subject matter expert for all related system implementation and maintenance initiatives.
The following are preferred qualifications:
• Working knowledge of Claims systems, practices and procedures for all lines of business.
• Working knowledge with Financial Transactions including payment processing, electronic payments, wire and ACH processing, taxation and 1099 processing.
• Strong knowledge of IT systems, including ServiceNow (preferred), project lifecycles, requirements processes, problem management and change management techniques.
• Working knowledge with system and financial controls including SOX/MAR and IT General Controls.
• Working knowledge of Financial Transactions, payments, recoveries, offsets, transfers, manual checks, system checks, wire, cash cards, electronic payments, Canadian and Foreign currency.
Duties and Responsibilities
Acts as a business sponsor to implement, maintain and support assigned applications. Works in conjunction with appropriate IT staff to complete project plans, define project scope, update and maintain project websites, user manuals and/or participate in systems integration activities.
Analyzes end user requests for technology changes and customizations. Assesses system impact of proposed changes and makes recommendations that ensure consistency with existing system standards and future system implementation goals.
Works with Business Consulting to develop business requirements and Service Requests for system changes.
Coordinates and oversees user acceptance testing related to system changes or enhancements as required. Participates in planning, communicating and training users regarding routine system updates or procedural changes.
Oversees and monitors system-related projects, including upgrades, enhancements and process improvement activities, and prepares related reports for management as required.
Analyzes user problems and identifies potential solutions. Coordinates problem resolutions.
Maintains claim check stock. Orders, stores, distributes and maintains records related to the check stock used by claim handlers and Agents.
Implements, monitors and maintains database security, including creating and maintaining users, roles and privileges for the database. Monitors, maintains and implements user access as necessary.
Analyzes system usage and provides direction to users. Coordinates recommendations for upgrades or system changes with IT as required.
Participates in departments call volume. Provides loss report taking and system support for all inquiries for end users. Provides system support to all CMS users company-wide.
Coordinates technical and end user training with appropriate internal departments.
Prepares and/or coordinates the preparation of end user reports or assists end users with the development of reports using applicable software.
Completes special projects as required.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, mathematics, computer science or information technology, or equivalent, required. Three to five years of previous experience in systems administration, or equivalent, required. Strong working knowledge of applicable business or functional area and system(s) required. Working knowledge of spreadsheet and database software required. Working knowledge of IT policies and practices preferred. Successful completion of the Associate in Information Technology (AIT) designation, or equivalent, preferred.
