Job Description
The Organizational Development Specialist II will support the Organizational Development team's strategy and function to foster individual, team and organizational effectiveness throughout the Company utilizing the delivery of world-class developmental programs, implementing useful organizational practices and applying methodologies and tools that increase and enhance efficiency and effectiveness. The Organizational Development Specialist II will work closely with Human Resources and lines of business representatives to design and execute initiatives to accelerate organizational performance and support organization development across the Company. The Organizational Development Specialists II will own and manage several projects from start to finish, working autonomously when needed, in addition to business as usual and day to day work. The Organizational Development Specialist II promotes Team WOW! Spirit and mission and constructs and organizes programs contributing to the overall Employee experience.
Job Requirements
• Leads department and organization-wide projects.
• Manages 1-3 large projects and/or a variety of mid-size or small projects.
• Works independently, with some direction from Manager and OD Specialist III.
• Assumes some budget responsibility.
• Acts as a representative and subject matter expert of Human Resources in interactions with line of business representatives.
• Serves as internal consultant to line of business representatives.
• May serve on committees for departmental and Company-wide HR projects. Prepares and analyzes agendas, data and related communications.
• May determine best approach based on analysis of data and other committee members' recommendations. Champions committee recommendations with others.
• Partners with other HR departments to disseminate information to Managers and Employees and to facilitate interaction.
• May lead projects, including building process documents, setting appropriate benchmarks and expectations of the work.
• Serves as internal consultant to line of business representatives.
• May evaluate and monitor project flow, timeliness of strategies and may develop the means for resolution where necessary.
• May establish a budget for areas of focus allowing for progressive growth of area to be competitive while remaining fiscally responsible.
• May identify alternative solutions to keep costs in control but still ensuring the best solution.
• May track spending of established budget for areas of focus.
• Adjusts focus throughout year / modifies spending to stay in line of budget.
• Serves as a positive role model and knowledgeable, supportive contact for the larger HR team.
