First Data’s Operations and Call Center functions are focused on providing the outstanding client service, support and experiences that are critical to our ongoing success. Our Operations owner-associates are responsible for the stability of our global network infrastructure by helping our financial institution clients with various aspects of transaction processing, including statement management, card production and ticket-issue resolution. Our Call Center owner-associates are often the first point of contact for our business clients, and they play an important role in driving client satisfaction. They are responsible for answering questions and resolving problems on a wide range of issues, including account activation inquiries, potential fraudulent activity and our full range of products and services.
Job Responsibilities
• Operate and monitor equipment to process work according to instructions and/or client expectations. May be required to troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment problems, as well as setup and calibrate equipment per guidelines and/or job specifications. Use instructions to pick materials for jobs to be processed. May include manually inserting documents/forms into envelopes, affixing tags to plastic carriers, stuffing mail into expedited mailing packages, feeding and unloading equipment.
Scope of Job
Works on a variety of routine and non-routine tasks under general supervision in a secure facility. Has access to confidential information.
Autonomy
Resolves most questions/issues independently. Escalates only the most complex issues to higher levels. Makes decisions using pre-established guidelines regarding products meeting quality standards, determining when a service technician is required, and ensuring the correct shipment of accounts.
Job Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent. Basic PC skills required. Six months to 1 year previous machine and/or production experience preferred. Ability to function effectively in a team environment.
• Physical: Candidates must be able to stand or walk for the duration of their scheduled shift without issue. Candidates must be able to bend, squat, use hands to handle and feel, reach above shoulder level, push/pull, see color distinctions, read and lift up to 50 Ibs on frequent basis. Education: High school diploma or equivalent General: Candidates must be able to read and comprehend basic work-related instructions, such as training materials, policies and work orders, in English. Additionally, candidates must be able to comprehend basic work-related verbal instructions in English. Candidates must possess basic computer skills (data entry, PC navigation). Must be able to function in a team environment. At peak volume times, mandatory overtime may be required on off-days and on holidays.
• Six months to 1 year previous machine and/or production experience preferred or equivalent Military experience.
