Manager, Finance Business Partner, ESS
Overview
• The Enterprise Security Solutions (“ESS”) organization develops and delivers world-class security products and services for customers across the globe & includes recent acquisitions: NuData & Brighterion.
• NuData harnesses the power of behavioral and biometric analysis to empower its clients to predict fraud and verify the user behind the device. This allows clients to predict fraud before a critical decision, reduce customer insult, and investigate bad actors efficiently. Brighterion has innovative cross channel artificial intelligence / machine learning solutions allowing clients real-time decision making with fewer false positives in areas such as: fraud, AML / KYC, healthcare, and homeland security. NuData and Brighterion push the boundaries of innovation with a culture focused on delivering the results our clients expect and deserve.
• The Manager will support the Director Finance Business Partner of ESS across a broad spectrum of financial processes and strategic initiatives
Role
• Manages aspects of financial and budgeting related needs and requirements, including annual target and budget process for two business units within the ESS organization.
• Manages aspects of month end financial close (revenue recognition, intercompany transactions, expense) partnership with the business, the Products/Services Controller and Global Business Shared Service teams
• Provides financial insights to leadership, support driving and executing strategy, understanding drivers, pricing and product management with technology
• Review contract language pre and post execution to support compliance with intended approved financial aspects including revenue, customer invoicing, tax considerations, etc
• Responsible for financial components of contracts including customer onboarding and invoicing
• Reviews, prepares and consolidates reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) and analysis, communicating findings and operating notes from regions and business units to provide to business unit leadership
• Executes strategy and business processes improvement initiatives by building and maintaining financial tools to perform analysis and modelling; reviews and creates suggestions to product and business unit plans
• Escalates analysis and key findings to leadership to ensure alignment within the organization
• Embodies the leading beyond finance initiative by running and maintaining business models to analyze performance and business opportunities (e.g. MIS, KPIs, CEO deck)
• Partner with the businesses in supporting strategic growth plans both near and long term, assisting with business case modeling and providing thought leadership
• Ensures integrity of legal entity financial statements per US GAAP and to meet tax reporting needs
• Supports Director, ESS Business Partner in maintaining a strong control environment
• Working with multiple business units and regions including tax, legal, product, finance, franchise, etc across time zones supporting deliverables
All About You
• BS or BA with a major in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (MBA/CPA Preferred) with previous finance and controllership experience
• Previous related experience with the technology industry, specifically AI/Cybersecurity is preferred
• The ideal candidate is fast-paced, highly analytical and detail-oriented who demonstrates a sense of urgency, ownership, knowledge and experience with all phases of financial planning, budgeting and forecasting supporting their finance and business partners
• Independent worker & thinker with the ability to follow up on time sensitive issues
• A team player with the ability to communicate effectively and develop solid working relationships across multiple levels and organizational boundaries is required
• Experience with GAAP and legal entity accounting preferred
• Experience with financial systems/applications particularly Excel, Hyperion and Oracle is strongly preferred
• Experience building internal and external business partnerships; develops and leverages key relationships in order to understand the needs and objectives of stakeholders
• Ability to model and perform predictive analytics to review financial and operational analysis and scenarios
• Experience operating in a diverse, multi-functional finance group across time zones
• Exposure to supporting a designated business area on risk and opportunity considerations, leveraging analytical techniques as well as outside trends and events
• Experience identifying and implementing process improvement activities; makes recommendations to further improve procedures
