The Opportunity
We seek to hire an Assistant Branch Manager (ABM) to serve our members in our San Francisco - Sunset branch. In this role, the ABM performs member services and responsibilities will include managing and providing vision and leadership to the branch staff. The candidate must be goal-oriented, ensure quality of service to members, and experience in managing productivity and ATM servicing. Also, they must communicate effectively at all levels and possess skills in planning with the ability to monitor results.
Responsibilities
• Staff scheduling and maintaining attendance records
• Exercises good judgment, excellent communication and people skills
• Accommodating to sudden change as well as able to produce new solutions to problems
• Support Branch Manager in developing a culture within the branch in which quality and continuous improvement on all performance accountabilities, customer satisfaction
• Develops a team spirit among subordinates and supervisors; motivates every team member to promote and maximize sales and provide the highest possible level of customer service
• Provide assistance in managing all functions within the branch through effective communication and implementation of new/revised policies, procedures, and products/services
• Works cooperatively with management to effectively communicate and implement performance standards and sales objectives
• Responsible for on-going evaluation and providing feedback and recommendations on employee performance
• Responsible for developing a staff to meet current and future operating needs through effective selection, assessment and training
• Provides leadership to impact and enhance the positive image of bank in the community
• Maintains thorough and current knowledge of all federal, state, and local regulations as well as internal policies and procedures and bank products and services
• Oversees individual accountability for the handling of cash and assists tellers in resolving balancing problems
• Acts as a resource to answer difficult questions and to solve escalated service issues for members and staff
• Manages branch in the absence of Branch Manager
• Responsible for monitoring and responding to Patelco’s Promoter Score system and feedback.
• May be required to participate in committees to respond to or fix concerns for the betterment of the member experience.
• Understand and comply with all applicable federal and state laws and banking regulations (including those related to OFAC and Bank Secrecy Act / Anti-Money Laundering compliance) and Patelco Credit Union’s policies and procedures.
• Ensure that employees, processes, and procedures under your area of supervision comply with all applicable federal and state laws and banking regulations (including those related to OFAC and Bank Secrecy Act / Anti-Money Laundering compliance) and Patelco Credit Union’s policies and procedures
• All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or AA in business related discipline or equivalent ( preferred)
• Two to four years’ prior branch supervisory or team lead experience in a credit union or banking environment
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• PC proficiency and excellent organizational skills

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels
• Proven ability and leadership to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Ability to manage priorities and workflow with versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
• Ability to work with all levels of management
• Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
• Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates
