Job Description
Allstate Dealer Services values both Agent and TPA relationships. Our dedication is to provide our Agents with products that are enhanced through our brand, training, support and streamlined services. Our clients depend on us to provide them with top-of-the-line Finance and Insurance (F&I) products that bring value to their consumers. We remain committed to providing quality products and services through auto dealerships, banks, and other retail facilities.
The Product Management team at ADS is responsible for the design, development and execution of new and existing F&I products, services or business models that drive growth, improve the customer experience, and deliver an acceptable return on investment.
The Leader functions as a Business Manager, coordinates the design, development and implementation of the ADS Product offerings; supporting all or part of the product portfolio in one or more of the channels. This position is a working manager and requires direct line management of Product Consultants, and Sr. Product Consultants. The Leader has direct responsibility for profitability of the product offering within the channel and the design of the ADS product portfolio. In addition, the role is responsible for identifying competitive product offerings that compete with the ADS portfolio and in turn design and implement enhancements to ADS offerings that provide the best value proposition for ADS customers.
Key Responsibilities also include:
• Coordinate with ADS Sales Leadership and the AAC, Strategic or TPA partner representatives regarding the product and service offerings that provides an optimal value proposition to the customer and generates acceptable returns to ADS
• Validate product offering concepts with customers and channel partners
• Develop financial forecast including DWP, pre-tax operating income, NPV and RORC for product offerings/ opportunities
• Develop and present product offering, financial forecast and strategic significance to Channel Price Product Review Group for ADS internal approval
• Collaborate with Regulatory Compliance in the filing of policy language and rates with States Departments of Insurance for approval
• Coordinate the implementation of new program operations, IT systems, and financial functions
• Coordinate development and delivery of program training material for agents, TPAs, or strategic partners
• Develop and coordinate marketing plan in conjunction with the sales team and roll out new / revised programs to customers
• Perform specialized underwriting of large risk pools (i.e., dealer groups, TPAs and Strategic Partners) by product line
• Coordinate loss development reviews with Risk Management and implement pricing action by product line as required to maintain acceptable profitability
• Prioritizes, delegates, tracks and communicates progress of new and existing projects ranging in all sizes of scope and complexity using accepted project management standards
• Introduce common processes as a set of standards for Product Consultants to follow, allowing them to manage multiple projects simultaneously in an efficient manner and to facilitate seamless product launches
• Identify, develop and initiate innovations and solutions where precedents and procedures may not exist; work cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes
Job Qualifications
• A bachelor’s degree in Business is required and MBA is highly desired
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in product development and management, preferably in F&I or insurance products/programs
• 5-7 years minimum of management experience with the proven ability to influence and execute strategic processes
• Record of progressively increasing responsibility with experience in supervising support staff or managing project teams
• Understanding of the implications, risks and benefits of alternatives, drawing conclusions, developing mitigation strategies and making recommendations for appropriate courses of action
• Ability to measure, analyze and communicate profitability by line of business and distribution channel
• Ability to analyze and implement product strategies that will generate incremental revenue and profitability
• Strong leadership, analytical, and project management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
