The Role
This position will perform and deliver on routine and non-routine assignments for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility independently in accordance with established procedures/guidelines. S/he will manage more complex premium and billing application, research discrepancies, conduct analysis to determine root cause; and ensure all information is complete and in good order.
Responsibilities
Technical Agility
• Creates reports and Excel spreadsheets for data reporting and problem solving.
• Escalates increasingly complex premium & billing issues/concerns to more senior team members and/or management.
• Manages more complex premium & billing cases in accordance with established procedures and guidelines, in a timely manner and meeting departmental quality/production standards.
• Monitors and reviews more complex premium & billing cases to ensure proper completion including researching deep issues, and that the information is in good order.
• Partners with junior team members on premium & billing tasks and provides responses and a diverse range of information to team members questions to support organizational capabilities.
• Provides customer service to internal and/or external stakeholders, recognizes what needs to be done to meet customer needs and demonstrates flexibility and responsiveness to meet customer needs.
• Recognizes general issues/concerns for assigned area(s) of responsibility and suggests process improvements.
• Researches and resolves high priority escalated issues/concerns with a sense of urgency in order to foster a recommendable customer experience.
• Troubleshoots issues with premium & billing to identify more complex root cause and issue resolution.
Business Acumen
• Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends, assesses the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions
• Champions and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives
• Identifies and recommends process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality
• Remains current in profession and industry trends.
Requirements
Education
• Associates Degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience
• 2 - 3 Years of billing, premium, and/or reconciliation experience that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position(Required)
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret both internal and external documents such as general media/publications, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations, policies, proposals, and standard operating procedures
• Confident, comfortable communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Works with mathematical concepts such as averages and/or variances
