Job Description
This position is responsible for the scanning and indexing of loan files and documents. This position is also responsible for the quality control of all Bankruptcy and Foreclosure files. The position provides customer service to customers and various departments and branches as well as internal and external legal counsel.
Prepares various Documents for scanning/Indexing in an accurate and timely manner. Scans Bankruptcy and Foreclosure loan files into the scanning system and ensures the accuracy of all documentation.
Performs quality control of the Bankruptcy and Foreclosure file checklist for sign off.
Prepares the files for the loan library and loan vault. Acts as a backup to Loan Library/Loan Vault responsibilities as needed, including filing of all loan documentation and loan files.
Performs phone support. Answers phone questions from lenders as needed.
Works in collaboration with Commercial, Credit Collections and Loan Library staff. Performs additional duties as assigned.
Adheres to compliance procedures and internal/operational risk controls in accordance with any and all applicable regulatory standards, requirements, and policies.
Job Requirements
High School diploma or equivalency required.
1-2 years relevant experience.
Familiarity with loan bankruptcy & foreclosure processes documentation.
Knowledge of loan documents and appropriate filing.
Detail oriented with ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to provide courteous and professional assistance to internal and external customers.
Flexibility to respond to multiple assignments and situations.
Ability to work independently and to work well in a team environment.
Effective computer skills.
Ability to operate office equipment/systems to perform responsibilities effectively.
Ability to lift boxes of files that weigh approximately 50 pounds.
