The Team
The Fidelity Corporate Technology Group (CTG) is responsible for providing internal enterprise-wide organizations such as Finance, Human Resources, Compliance, Legal, Risk and Security with effective and efficient technology solutions and ongoing solution support. To do all of this and align group structure with our business partners, we have over 600 associates in Fidelity locations across the United States, Ireland, and India. As an Architect within Fidelity Investments you are responsible for driving innovation, technology strategy, and architecture across a wide range of new and existing capabilities within the Governance, Risk, and Compliance teams. You will be evaluating and recommending different solutions like SaaS and hybrid cloud offerings. You provide leadership to the product teams in delivering architecture, design, and development of solutions across multiple products. Additionally, you will collaborate with key partners in the adoption of emerging standards and new technologies.
The Expertise You Have
• 3-5+ years of software development and product architecture experience.
• Experience working in the financial services regulatory environment
• Proven experience in proposing blueprints and roadmaps, and collaboratively defining solutions and their enabling architectures
• Experience with public and private cloud implementations beneficial.
The Skills You Bring
• Guide and oversee the design and implementation of solutions in compliance with Fidelity’s roadmap architecture and design standards
• Actively participate in full life cycle of IT Product/Application development to ensure consistency of product development and adoption
• Advocate solutions not currently met by the IT Product/Applications. Appropriately analyze different approaches to assess trade-offs among architectural goals
• Craft and present technical solutions, assessing the technical integrity, with a view toward broader future implementation across Fidelity and CTG
• Share your knowledge with internal Fidelity architecture communities
• Your excellent presentation, documentation, communication and influencing skills as well as skills for presenting/influencing technology direction in business context for the partners

• Identifying and championing the creation and use of common services and components
• Providing strategic direction and technical supervision on multiple, complex projects
• Identifying integration patterns and points between design areas
• Providing support to project teams on design and application integration with other technologies across the stack (UI, security, database, etc.)
• Making authority decisions over technical issues, project policies, standards, and strategies
• Anticipating the applicability of major industry trends in the Fidelity environment and implementing plans
• Providing leadership to Proof of Concepts (POCs) for assessment of technical and business benefit
