The Sr. Business / Process Analyst collaborates with business partners to identify opportunities for process and automation enhancements. This role reviews and examines business processes and systems, model data, and organize activities. Responsibilities include developing project scope, definitions, test plans and validation for automation efforts, and creating end-user documentation. Provides analysis of business needs and issue resolution for supported applications.
Major Areas of Accountability
• Work collaboratively with business areas in planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of business problems to be solved with automation to enhance and/or gain business operational efficiencies.
• Lead meetings and serve as a liaison to business manager and end users/subject matter experts to help identify, evaluate, and develop processes and procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements. Work closely with business partners in translating conceptual ideas into business needs, business requirements and value-added solutions to achieve process optimization.
• Work with user groups to provide training, resolve questions, assess user needs, and recommend changes.
• Analyze business processes and business problems and develop new solutions. Prepare specifications for site design and wing-to-wing processes; configure and deploy workflows based on approved specifications and ensure appropriate testing is completed.
• Validate that the solution (people, process) meets the business objective.
• Act as a mentor and resource for business users relying on workflow, SharePoint and/or quality tools and processes.
• Develop, maintain, ensure adherence to corporate standards, policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
• Four-year degree in Finance, Communications or related discipline or equivalent experience
• 6-8 years of experience as a business analyst, extensive knowledge of applications within domain area, and the development process
• Experience using various business analysis techniques in requirements gathering and validation
• Demonstrated analytical, collaboration and influencing skills
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Proven ability to effectively develop and maintain relationships at all levels of the business
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience and involvement with Salesforce.com and Smartsheet
• Quality tools training and/or quality tools usage
• Experience with workflow tools
• Experience with automation and rollout of workflow and content management solutions
• Financial services and/or banking experience
• Project lead experience
