The Real Estate Valuation and Advisory group provides financial reporting valuations (e.g. ASC 805 ASC 820, etc.), fair market value appraisals, financial analysis, cash flow modeling, development modeling, real estate appraisal reviews, debt valuations & reviews, transaction underwriting / due diligence and other real estate consulting services. We are involved in the analysis of a variety of property types including office, retail, multi-family, hotel, industrial/warehouse, healthcare, mixed-use, land and special-use properties.
Our Real Estate Valuation & Advisory group provides consulting services to developers, investors and owner/users. We also work closely with other RSM services.
Responsibilities:
• Works in a team environment – Must be a strong team player
• Performs cash flow modeling, market data research, valuations, underwriting and due diligence
• Prepares written reports
• Prepares written real estate valuation reviews
• Recognizes emerging technical and industry developments
• Intermittent travel is required
Basic Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, Economics, and Business Administration (with a concentration in Finance) from an accredited University
• Minimum of 3.0 GPA preferred
• Ability to travel locally and nationally
• An interest in focusing on middle market companies
• Ability to partner with other lines of business (assurance, tax and other consulting personnel)
• Eagerness to contribute in a team-oriented environment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and thrive on a steep learning curve
• Natural aptitude for solving problems and critical thinking
• Ability to articulate, write and present information in a clear and understandable manner
• Ability to balance multiple priorities (time management)
• Desire to learn and grow
Preferred Qualifications:
• Strong computer skills, including MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint a must)
• Understanding of basic financial concepts (NPV, DCF, WACC, etc.)
• Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision
• Driven to exceed client expectations
• Strong organizational skills
