Description
Reporting directly to the Head of Workplace Planning and Design in the Property Services division, the Project Manager will be responsible for the delivery and execution of a portfolio of corporate construction projects. The chosen candidate will provide project management expertise throughout the project lifecycle and influence the time, cost, and quality of each project. The chosen individual will work closely with the Space Planning and Leasing teams to deliver projects on behalf of our business partners.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
• Direct oversight and coordination of the project team (internal and external resources) and related activities throughout the project lifecycle
• Developing strong, effective working relationships with business partners, Strategy & Leasing, Space Planning, Facilities, Finance, and vendors to effectively execute projects
• Leading recurring project meetings and holding key stakeholders accountable for respective areas of responsibility
• Providing critical evaluation and appropriate challenge to project cost and schedule
• Ensuring adherence to Property’s agreed upon project management process checklist and risk controls
• Delivering of accurate and timely reporting against project plans and budget
• Conducting proper site and other project due diligence, and partnering with Finance/Sourcing to conduct vendor request for proposals (RFP) and business cases in accordance with proper bank procedure
• Leveraging expertise and industry best practices to streamline the existing project management process while ensuring adherence to risk
Qualifications
Experience and Skills:
• 3 or more years of experience working as a Project Manager in a mid to large corporate setting with Corporate and/or Financial Services project experience preferred
• Experience running end-to-end corporate construction projects of varying size and scope (new build-out, renovations, restacks, decommissioning, etc.)
• Experience delivering to time, cost, and quality in a matrix driven decision making organization, and effectively communicating potential trade-offs
• Advanced knowledge and relevant use of MS Office applications
• Experience reviewing construction drawings, electrical, IT plans and providing feedback as appropriate
• Track record of delivering successful projects with a high level of autonomy while also sensing when escalation to senior management is required
• Willingness to travel as required to conduct site visits, hold on-site meetings with landlord, property manager, vendors, etc.
Education and Certifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction or related field required, Master’s degree preferred
• Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
• LEED and/or other building certifications a plus
Hours & Work Schedule
Hours per Week: 40
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:30AM - 5:00PM
