Role and Responsibilities
• Implement new variable annuity liability assumptions, products, and requirements for statutory reserve, GAAP, hedging, cash flow testing, budget, and CCAR projections in the GGY AXIS model
• Develop detailed documentation regarding model design, process, deficiencies, and validation
• Perform model and data validation in GGY AXIS, SQL server, and Oracle with Toad
• Communicate and collaborate with other teams including testers, model owners, software developers etc. on model development and address any issues.
• Assist production and testing areas with automation, impact analysis, and other model related issues
• Build, support, and monitor various economic scenario generator (ESG) for multiple reporting requirements.
• Support ESG DLL build to interact with GGY AXIS
• Support GGY AXIS VA hedge asset and general account asset development
The ideal candidate will have the following experience and qualifications:
• FSA or near FSA with the desire to attain FSA designation within the next two years
• Actuarial model development experience, GGY and Prophet experience preferred
• Understanding of VA statutory reserve, QIS, GAAP, and hedging assumptions and requirements
• Expertise in with SQL, VB.NET, and C#, OOP design patterns, Spring.NET, and Github is highly desired
• Experience modeling assets backing VA, FA, and UL liabilities
• Knowledge of various economic scenario generator models
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly motivated and self-driven
• Ability to handle multiple ongoing projects at the same time
