Job Description
We’re looking for a creative agency-level graphics design professional who can hit the ground running and actively bring innovative visual solutions to the table. The ideal candidate will be a conceptual thinker with an aptitude for condensing complicated ideas into straightforward creative. We’re looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills who fosters collaboration and teamwork. The ideal candidate will be a visual storyteller who is comfortable working directly with leaders at all levels and highly motivated by engaging audiences with memorable stories and content (generally communicated via PowerPoint). We’re looking for someone who has a commitment to current design trends and the industry landscape.
The Graphic Design Lead Consultant helps us communicate with our employee, agency-force and consumer-facing audiences, primarily by designing and producing graphics as part of Creative Services + Multimedia, Allstate’s in-house agency in Northbrook, IL. This person will work within the Corporate Storytelling team to advance Allstate’s strategy, reputation and culture. This Graphic Design Lead Consultant role will have a heavy emphasis on the creation of content that helps tell the Allstate Personal Lines story.
Key Responsibilities
The Graphic Design Lead Consultant’s primarily responsibilities are as follows:
• Visualize and verbalize creative graphic storytelling strategies prior to project kickoff
• Conceive and design a wide range of sophisticated graphic design storytelling
• Develop unique, clean, high-end slide decks to support desired Allstate messages/campaigns
• Execute contemporary infographics, logos, icons and digital illustrations
• Develop fresh pipeline of best-in-class design concepts, layouts and templates
• Conform to project-specific design requirements, from conservative to corporate edgy
• Manage projects, perform under pressure and meet deadlines
• Assure error-free content that follows Allstate brand guidelines
• Problem-solve and prioritize projects in a fast-paced agency production environment
• Work with a wide range of media and graphic design software
• Operate effectively on a professional, digital content storage platform
• Manage project output and storage of final deliverables
• Communicate project progress via daily emails and production resources calendar
• Complete additional duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
Experience and Education
• 5-7 years of experience is required
• Professional experience in an advertising agency, design studio, production house or national TV/top local market is required
• A strong companion demo reel or portfolio documenting experience is required
• Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint software and processes is required
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite Creative Cloud (i.e. Premier Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, After Effects, and Illustrator) is required
• Experience with Adobe InDesign is preferred
• Experience with professional-grade, digital content storage platforms is preferred
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Degree in communication, design, art, digital media, animation, video/film production or a related field is preferred
The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation, which includes a drug screen.
