Job Description
The Fixed Income Product Manager serves dual roles. First, the Product Manager is responsible for driving product strategy initiatives of OFI’s SNW Tax-Efficient Fixed Income franchise, focused on ensuring that client investment experience matches pre-established expectations. As such, the Product Manager owns positioning a set of municipal and taxable fixed income investment strategies, researching product/competitive trends and creating compelling product content. The Product Manager needs to be proficient in articulating investment process, portfolio positioning and rationale for specific holdings within the portfolio. Operating with a continuous improvement mindset this role owns monitoring, identifying and addressing root causes of strategies which are not meeting client expectations.
This individual works closely with the portfolio managers and OFI target client channels acting as a liaison between the portfolio management team and both internal and external constituents on product specific matters. This includes working as a complement to SNW’s CPM or for the purpose of ensuring the Product Manager can stay attune to how their respective strategies are perceived and utilized by each respective client channel. The individual also acts as a business manager for the SNW strategies liaising with legal, tax, marketing, board relations and other departments to help with content and other potential issues.
Second, the Product Manager will lead and coordinate the product marketing efforts for SNW, and will also act opportunistically in providing product marketing support for OFI’s Taxable Fixed Income strategy suite. In this role, the Product Manager will collaborate with senior product managers of OFI’s Global Debt and other U.S. Fixed Income franchises to develop robust product marketing plans and pipelines, lead creation and execution efforts and regularly evaluate the existing product marketing suite to identify opportunities for new content, enhancement or rationalization.
The Product Manager must have a strong understanding of fixed income markets and be viewed as a subject matter expert on investment and product issues pertaining to their strategies. Additionally, the individual must demonstrate the ability to think outside of the box with regard to marketing fixed income strategies as well as the ability to be nimble and re-focus quickly as business needs evolve.
The role will be based in New York and report to the VP, Taxable U.S. Fixed Income Product Management.

Principal Responsibilities:
• Product Management/Infrastructure: Act as SNW strategy owner, client advocate and investment partner within the Investment Product Solutions organization. Work with legal, compliance, accounting and trading functions on matters relating to the covered strategies. The Product Manager should endeavor to isolate PMs from these matters; exercising judgment as to if/when the PM should be involved. Additionally, the Product Manager should be involved in product-related initiatives including market alignment, and product line rationalization as they pertain to each specific OFI Client Distribution Channel. The Product Manager also owns strategy level data relevant to the product, marketing and distribution processes for each respective strategy. This role is responsible for ensuring strategy specific taxonomy is perpetually up to date and consistent with the SNW investment philosophy.
• Investment Team-Related: Work closely with the SNW’s PMs to become deeply knowledgeable of each strategy. The Product Manager must have an intimate knowledge of the investment philosophy and process of each investment product supported. This would include a detailed understanding of current investment themes being represented within the portfolio, knowledge of all portfolio holdings, risk attributes of the strategy, past and current positioning of the portfolio, near-term outlook for the strategy and performance attribution. Support distribution with training, large conferences, meeting support in a complementary way with the franchise CPM. Manage the ongoing internal and external experience for our products and work with marketing to support strategy specific content.
• Product Marketing: Ensure that positioning and unique voices of SNW as well as other OFI fixed income franchises (Global, Investment Grade and Senior Loans) are clear and consistent throughout all forms of product marketing for clients and prospects. This includes playing a prominent role in creating product and client channel-specific marketing and meeting materials. This person must also develop and execute, in close partnership with the SNW CPM, a clear plan for asset growth and retention. Ensure quarter-end and ad hoc updating of marketing resources for designated investment strategies are delivered on a timely and accurate basis.
Qualifications
• Strong investment acumen, understanding of economics and capital markets with demonstrated working knowledge of municipal and taxable fixed income strategies
• Strong and demonstrated product marketing experience across mediums and client channels
• Passion for being a meaningful contributor and collaborator within a high performance investment culture
• Knowledge of separately managed accounts, mutual funds and other investment vehicles
• Highly driven work ethic and track record of execution excellence
• Superior analytical and system abilities with impeccable project management skills
• Demonstrated effective leadership skills
• Strong people and influence management skills in interacting with various constituencies within the firm
• At least 3-5 years of related experience
• Series 65 required; Series 7 and 63 preferred
• MBA/CFA a plus
