Position Summary: The Junior Investment Analyst will be responsible for assisting more senior credit analysts and portfolio managers in assembling and reviewing financial statements and other data on specific issuers and industries in the Leveraged Loans and High Yield markets. In this role, the analyst performs intensive fundamental credit analysis and formulates and effectively communicates investment recommendations that add value to client portfolios.
Qualifications
Candidate Profile The successful candidate will possess the following: Solid quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, attention to detail and strong excel modelling skills; 2 to 3 years of previous credit experience in leverage finance, banking or credit research; Strong analytical and communication skills (both written and oral); Proven interpersonal skills with ability to work with a fair degree of autonomy and demonstrate initiative and a sense of personal accountability, but remain a team player and enjoy contributing in a cooperative and entrepreneurial environment; ability to work well in a small, collaborative team; Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting; Unimpeachable integrity and an uncompromised reputation.
