Job Purpose:
The position is responsible for development and implementation of marketing and communication strategies that support the business/brand objectives. The role will work with the broader media team that is accountable for strategy and creative development and B2B editorial campaign execution, through the development of simplified and easily digested direct response copy and/or design that moves people to action.
This person will analyze and identify problems, research and collect data, prepare business proposals, manage projects and programs. They recommend solutions, utilizing knowledge of theory, principles or technology of specific discipline or field of specialization. Applies knowledge and skills to a wide range of standard and non-standard situations. Works independently with minimal guidance and determines own work priorities, ensuring alignment with brand, product and compliance standards.

Job Responsibilities:
• Participates in developing business marketing and communication outreach programs.
• Develops concepts, writing (or designing), editing and proofing promotional and/or marketing materials, based upon strategic inputs that meet defined objectives.
• Manages up and down throughout the project, alerting relevant parties to evolving project needs, challenges and statuses, especially advising of anticipated developments that will impact deadlines.
• Ensures the accurate and timely delivery of high-quality content for all projects.
• Maintains a good working relationship in a matrix organization with the broader marketing team, design, writers, proofreaders. Interfaces with design, account, client and editorial teams as necessary to ensure that all parties understand and agree upon content requirements and to resolve any potential issues as quickly as possible.
• Adheres to and supports departmental procedures.
• Client-centric and familiar with credit union service provider mindset, converting language from acquired companies or products into customer language and style to create the most impactful expression of content for our intended goal.
• Strong communicator, contributor and collaborator in a team environment.
• Leads commercialization initiatives with guidance and/or supports execution of large scale commercialization initiatives.
• Uses rationale to present creative concepts and can defend work based upon strategy inputs.
• Has an in-depth understanding of B2B response creative drivers and develops creative that drives business results.
• Takes complex product information and creates simplified and easily digested copy/design ensuring alignment with brand, product, production and compliance standards.
• Maintain a consistent, unified voice based on defined standards across all digital, print and other miscellaneous assets or company communications.
• Completes and leverages departmental direct response best practices training.
• Leads development of marketing strategy and commercialization plan for assigned initiatives.
• Supports and/or leads cross-functional team in commercialization plan execution.
• Ensure brand adherence and quality assurance.
• Develops the objectives and success measures for new initiatives.
• Proactively assess and monitor execution of the plan to ensure effectiveness.

Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Marketing or related field or equivalent related professional experience required. Advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in a B2B technology service business, CUSO or agency environment.
• Strong knowledge of creative process in the delivery of marketing materials and programs.
• Superior copywriting and high-fidelity design skills.
• Strong command of grammar and punctuation.
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross functional teams.
• Strong time-management skills and the ability to handle many concurrent tasks/projects.
• Demonstrated flexible and collaborative work style, able to work independently and in a matrixed environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
