Job Description:
Discover is seeking candidates for a Senior Manager of Digital Marketing within Consumer Banking. As the Senior Manager of Digital Marketing, youll be responsible for defining the marketing strategy for acquiring new Deposits customers and growing balances among existing customers. In this role you will lead a team of marketing professionals to oversee marketing tactics for all deposit products across the breadth of digital channels including SEM, display, video, social, affiliates, radio, and out of home. Candidates should have at least 5 years of relevant practical work experience, a bachelors degree in marketing, engineering or business administration discipline, background in digital marketing, and experience leading others.
Job Responsibilities
• Optimizes marketing spend across the digital ecosystem to drive efficient growth and awareness
• Establishes and tracks key performance indicators for digital marketing team
• Partners with the creative team to optimize creative performance within digital channels
• Collaborates with analytics to extract insights necessary for marketing optimization and to develop reporting for senior leadership (Director/VP and above)
• Manages agency partnerships / consultants to deliver marketing campaigns and drive innovation
• Manages expense forecasting and billing to ensure quality and accuracy
• Identifies and oversees the collection of data necessary to improve cross-channel performance and the digital acquisition experience
• Assists with coordinating and developing cross-Discover marketing initiatives
• Conducts baseline industry, competitive, and customer research to develop comprehensive and compelling business cases for new marketing initiatives or enhancements to the existing initiatives
• Provides fact-based, compelling recommendations to drive consensus and strategic alignment.
• Coordinates closely with Operations, Technology and Law & Compliance teams to define processes, training, communications, policies and their controls.
• Promote a risk-aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes
Skills required:
• Bachelors degree in marketing, engineering or business administration required; Masters degree preferred
• 5+ years of relevant work experience with some digital experience (financial services experience a plus)
• Experience regularly working with and coordinating digital vendors
• Experience buying and planning media campaigns to drive both awareness and direct response; agency background preferred
• Deep working knowledge and experience with key digital marketing platforms (DCM, AdWords/DoubleClick Search, Data Management Platforms, tag management systems)
• Superior communication (written and verbal) skills and comfortable presenting to senior leadership
• Experience successfully leading teams
