Role Value Proposition:
This position is responsible for preparing Corporate & Other’s monthly projection and quarterly stress reporting packages for Senior Management. This person will perform a wide range of activities in support of the projection and planning process for example; loading actuals and projection data to Hyperion Planning and maintaining data controls and preparing the Corporate and Other story supporting the financial projections. This position provides a high level of interaction with all levels of management from the various lines of business and functional areas. Strong organizational and communication skills are critical to the success of this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Preparation of reports and analysis supporting the story for movements in the projected financials as compared to the prior projection and the corporate plan for Corporate and Other business segment
• Preparation and balance sheet and income statement projection model for base and stress scenarios.
• Preparation for C&O cash flow projections
• Work with business partners ensure timely and controlled submissions, including analysis of variances from prior submission and from the plan submissions
• Ensuring Hyperion Planning accurately reflects HFM financial results for actuals and Projection results for partner submissions.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required:
• 5-7+ years’ experience in financial reporting and analytics role, with 2+ years of financial planning and forecasting preferred.
• Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills for preparation and presentation of analytical reports to management.
• Team player who enjoys sharing knowledge and learning new skills.
• Strong analytical mindset – ability to research, gather, and process key financial information.
• Demonstrates high degree of curiosity.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics or similar field of study.
Preferred:
• Strong understanding of debt or fixed income security modelling his highly preferred.
• Experience with Hyperion Planning Application.
• Working knowledge of Essbase/Cubus.
• Working knowledge of HFM.
• Working knowledge of Hyperion Retrieve.
• Background in financial services industry is desired.
