At Grant Thornton, our professional staff applies traditional, cutting-edge approaches and methods to a variety of analyses. As part of our team, the Associate will utilize various methodologies and models to execute client projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Assist in the development of accreditation and simulation models to include Price Performance Models (PPMs) and operational resourcing and warfighting M&S.
• Evaluate client program life cycle cost estimates.
• Evaluate the cost/benefit of investment in O&M programs and provide senior leadership trade-space options within and between appropriations.
• Analyze and evaluate O&M investment impacts on readiness, capabilities, and business operations.
• Conduct IT cost estimation. Assess strategic implications of programs, activities, and initiatives.
• Understand the client C2 Strategy, JCIDS, and the DoD 5000 processes and conduct AoAs for high priority C2 initiatives.
• Conduct activities in support of Cost Analysis and Economic M&S. Develop models and simulations using a variety of approaches to include: discrete event, agent based, and system dynamics modeling. conduct portfolio and risk analysis, plan and conduct analysis of models and simulations to support VV&A.
• Conduct analysis of M&S outputs to support leadership decision-making and appropriately incorporate cost estimates for DoD acquisition programs into models and simulations.
• Apply economic modeling and forecasting principles, and DoD and DON VV&A policies. apply DOE and Response Surface methodology techniques to conduct simulation analysis.
• Conduct advanced cost analysis. Develop cost models and cost estimating relationships, lead development of a cost estimates, conduct cost/benefit and risk analysis for programs across all appropriations; conduct cost and data research for defense programs, and conduct life cycle cost analysis. interpret cost, schedule, and performance data as well as conduct portfolio and risk analysis via the use of PRICE, SEER, ACEIT, VAMOSC, OSMIS or other cost data and modeling environments.
• Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization).
• Assist with business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership materials.
Qualifications
• Secret Clearance Required.
• Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited college or university in a related field
• Ability to obtain and maintain certain job-related certifications if no job-related advanced degrees.
• U.S. citizenship may be required. Ability to work in the United States indefinitely required.
• Travel may be required.
• Ability to work overtime required on occasion.
• Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
• Ability to obtain and maintain firm independence and abide by firm ethics requirements.
• Meet or exceed continuing professional education (CPE) requirements.
