Serves as an entry level resource to evaluate basic claims from initial report to final disposition.
Communicate with claimants and policyholders as directed to secure needed items for investigation.
Under direct supervision, determine coverage, liability and damages.
Determine the value of a basic claim and negotiate its settlement.
Document a claim file with notes, evaluations, and decision making process
Achieve optimal customer satisfaction

Gain basic policy, coverage, insurance regulation knowledge
Verbal, written, telephone communication skills
Basic negotiation skills
Organize workflow and manage claims in a timely and productive fashion
Limited individual decision making
Receives extensive claim handling assistance from other unit members
Highly limited individual claim authorization
