MUFG Americas is embarking on a business and technology transformation to effectively deliver five key business imperatives: Compliance, Growth, Business Agility, Client Experience, & Collaboration.
Project Summary:
TheCore Banking Transformation Program is a multi-year effort that will deliver a world-class Deposit Platform for consumer, small business, commercial and transaction banking to enable the bank’s competitive market position. This will serve our customers' best interests by providing an improved product suite and improved channel functionality, increased financial performance, and it will also eliminate significant legacy platforms.
Team / Organization Summary:
Core Banking Transformation is Pillar One within the overall ISA (Integrated Services of Americas) Transformation Program. This role is on the Pillar One Pillar Management team which is responsible for managing the schedule, budget, and overall success of the Core Banking Transformation project and related inter-dependencies with the other pillar projects. The Pillar Management team partners strongly with the execution workstreams, risk partners, audit partners, Home Office liaisons, and Transformation Program Office.
Role Summary:
• An integral member of the Pillar Management Workstream, leading program technical initiatives and providing technical expertise in the spirit of continuous improvement and transformative solutions.
• Inquisitive and analytical problem solver with initiative and ability to work independently.
• Ability to capture and organize requirements for the production of robust and creative systemic solutions in support of effective program management.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the delivery of creative technical solutions leveraging existing tools/systems (SharePoint, JIRA, MS Office Tools, etc.).
• Gain an in-depth knowledge of the program structure, reporting requirements, decision types, governance routines and requirements in order to design/configure systems and tools for efficient program management.
• Independently research and identify ways to optimize existing tools/systems.
• Identify alternate systems or solutions to best serve the needs of the program.
• Design, deliver, and maintain robust databases, forms, templates, workflows, reports, dashboards, and customized views.
• Devise ways to minimize tracking, data entry, and rework by synthesizing the required outputs from existing databases and systems.
• Solutions must align to and adherence to the Bank’s Project Life Cycle.
• Facilitation of meetings, gaining consensus and creating appropriate communication for the roll-out of solutions.
• Plans and conducts the analysis of complex problems.
• Monitors and reports trends.
• Requires the ability to describe complex problems and their solutions to management.
• Generate controls to ensure the project is on target.
• Proactively identifies and addresses issues and problems; generates differing strategies
• Is highly effective at creating, maintaining, and utilizing cross department relationships / networks to exceed results
• Thoroughly considers the impact of actions when making decisions or planning
• Provide project management, administrative, and analytical support.
• Actively ensure compliance with Union Bank's Business Standards of Conduct and all Patriot Act, CIP, Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, information security and suspicious activity reporting requirements, and other regulatory and compliance policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Required Education & Certifications:
• 4 year Bachelor’s Degree required
• Completion of PMP or other PM certification (preferred)
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
• Advanced working knowledge of SharePoint (design and administration)
• Basic working knowledge of infrastructure technologies, including enterprise databases, network security, servers, and storage
• Experience managing Financial Services programs/project(s)
• Expertise in Microsoft Project/PM Tools and MS Office Suite
• Minimum 2 years professional technical troubleshooting expertise or proven technical ability
• Experience supporting customers via phone, e-mail, chat, and/or in person
• Passion for customer service and ownership of the customer experience including comprehensive issue resolution
• Able to effectively tailor communication and style to differing audiences
• Able to self-manage and work independently in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
• Thrives on a team where expertise is shared and feedback is welcomed
• Effective time management including ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize
• Able to research and grasp technical information across multiple tools while talking with customers
• Aptitude for acquiring skills in technical troubleshooting and an eagerness to learn and take on new challenges
