Vice President - Solebury - Corporate Communications
Position Overview

Solebury Trout, an investor relations, corporate communications and market access agency, is looking for a media relations professional with agency, in-house, or journalist experience in the biotech/pharma sectors to lead our media practice in the life sciences. We are strategic thinkers who take a journalistic approach to communications—providing counsel and content that’s grounded, differentiating and credible. We’re looking for that PR professional who has strong media contacts in the biotech space, and a track record for helping further client objectives through effective media engagement.

Solebury Trout is affiliated with leading equity capital markets advisory firm Solebury Capital, which in 2017 advised on nearly 40% of the IPO proceeds in the U.S., and is owned by PNC, one of the largest diversified financial institutions in the country.
Job Profile
• Responsible for direct management of client relationships. Oversees initiatives, materials, and project deliverables.
• Develops communication strategies; plans, researches, and develops content for complex communications initiatives.
• Identifies issues and opportunities, serves as trusted advisor to clients to identify communications issues and opportunities.
• Coordinates final review and approval before internal or external communications are provided to clients. Leads project teams of increasing complexity, influences outcomes, and evaluates success as appropriate.

Media Channel Management - Extensive Experience
• Knowledge of different media channels (e.g. TV, radio, press, etc.); ability to evaluate and select the most preferable media outlets to ensure information is effectively delivered to target audiences.

• Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.

Required Education and Experience
Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 5+ years of industry-relevant experience. Specific certifications are often required. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.
