Principal Duties & Responsibilities
1. Leads and directs all consumer & mortgage banking functions. Establishes goals and objectives that are consistent with the company’s overall strategy and vision.
2. Assesses market conditions to define, implement, and monitor the consumer banking strategy in order to gain and sustain a competitive edge. Guides product development and implementation to provide profitable and competitive service offerings.
3. Identifies customer needs and initiates action and follow up in order to retain and expand customer base. Develops, implements, and manages strategies for delivery of quality and effective customer service through the consumer banking network.
4. Establishes key performance metrics in order to meet established financial and performance goals for areas of direct responsibility.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
1. Demonstrates visionary leadership-displays passion and optimism, motivating others to fulfill the vision
2. Strong experience in multi-channel delivery, with a proven ability to drive customer acquisition and relationship expansion in the consumer market; experience with Mortgage a plus.
3. Strong experience integrating other business line delivery (mortgage, small business, investments, treasury, etc.) via the consumer line of business.
4. Demonstrated ability to grow household and accounts.
5. Proven change agent, able to influence others, moving them towards attainment of common goals and objectives
6. Outstanding leadership and team building skills, as well as the ability to develop these capabilities in others
7. Attracts, retains and develops top talent
8. Expert level skills in strategic planning, organizing, analytics and problem solving
9. Excellent interpersonal skills including oral and written communication skills, sales and customer relations skills
10. Strong decision making abilities; able to distinguish when a decision must be made with limited time and information from one requiring more data and deliberation; accurately assesses the impact of the decision
11. Comprehensive knowledge of financial institution products and services
