Job Summary
The Account Executive is a critical part of the retention and cross selling process for clients of Associated. They ensure the client is fully aware of all services provided and that the client receives "Best of Class Service" from all agency resources to fulfill their needs and exceed their expectations. As the facilitator of the client team, they proactively communicate client expectations to all parties, develop and manage all aspects of the client relationship, partner with the sales staff in deepening the client relationship and build client revenue through deep sell opportunities. This position also supports the Consultant in the new client sales process.

Responsible to report any procedure or process that doesn’t meet regulatory requirements including fraud, whether suspected or confirmed, to management. This reporting can be done directly to any member of management, including Human Resources or Corporate Security, or can be reported through Associated’s anonymous Ethics Hotline.

Job Accountabilities
Ability to independently coordinate and manage the implementation and/or commitments outlined in the Client Service Plan. Ensures all client service expectations are met or exceeded. Maintains primary responsibility for facilitating the Stewardship Reporting process and drafting the annual Stewardship Report.
Maintains expertise in all agency products and services (i.e. Client Technology Solutions, HR Solutions, Wellness, etc) and consistently recognizes or anticipates needs of clients and takes the necessary steps to ensure our clients are informed of solutions to further support the clients needs. Facilitates the implementation of value added services and frequently checks in with the client to ensure understanding and satisfaction with these services. (Examples include: client technology solutions, wellness, strategic planning facilitation, communication tools, etc). Solicit feedback from clients periodically to ensure service expectations are being met or ideally, exceeded.
Create, organize and present, along with the consultant, all educational needs via employee meetings. Ensures educational experiences for clients and their employees are accurate, timely, and professional.
Demonstrated expertise in legislative changes/updates, specialty product and/or services (such as global coverage, M & A activity) and has the ability to independently advise clients of the impact on their decisions. Additionally, AE actively engages in internal and external training.
Ability to independently perform a benefits coverage analysis for a client and make recommendations to the client that results in deep cross selling opportunities.
Responsible for creating and maintaining industry ‘trend’ resources in a central library and acts as liaison for colleagues using these resources for RFP’s, Stewardship Reports, presentations, etc.
Actively engages with Strategic Partners and is able to independently represent their products, proactively collaborates on meeting needs of mutual clients, independently negotiate needs of our clients, and routinely provides feedback to Strategic Partners that results in higher value products and services (for our clients).
Keep clients up to date with legislative and mandate changes or any other related news, updates and trends.
Work with other Account Executives to improve processes and procedures and acts as a backup to others to ensure clients’ needs are met.
Demonstrated ability to independently maintain accounts in transition (from one consultant to another or to rebalance a book of business) or temporarily act in a lead role on an account without direction.
Responsible for supporting and training new Account Executive’s, by assisting in their understanding of regulatory requirements and understanding of solutions/services. Keeps management apprised of new AE training needs, results, and client experiences. Actively participate in re-enforcement training and new case implementations and works with Client Service team to ensure consistent resolution of client escalated issues.
