Human Resource Employment Specialist
Job Description
Typical business work hours are 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday. As the Human Resource Employment Specialist, you will be expected to demonstrate a sense of urgency, willingness to work closely with others, demonstrate exceptional communication skills, must excel at delegating tasks and be part of a team whose primary focus is service to our customers. This is a non-exempt position.
Purpose:
The Human Resource Employment Specialist position is responsible for performing human resource administrative work in providing analysis of various H.R. reporting and initiatives. This person will be responsible for assisting with on-boarding process through applicant tracking system in compliance with AAP, HR research and analysis. Work is sensitive in nature and must be handled with a high degree of confidentiality.
Education & Experience Requirements:
1. High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related discipline preferred.
1. Minimum of 2 years administrative support experience in a professional setting required. Previous experience in a Human Resource support position preferred.
1. Previous HRIS experience, preferably in ADP to include opening requisitions, posting jobs on big job boards and conducting background screenings, preferred
1. Advanced computer proficiency skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
1. Ability to work within strong professional ethics and rules of confidentiality to provide effective services to employees, customers and vendors.
1. Demonstrated ability in analyzing data, creating/extracting reports from HRIS system required.
1. Communication and Language Skills Requirements: Listening skills with ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Read, analyze and interpret general human resource research, governmental regulations and H.R. laws. Effectively write reports, correspondence and procedures with ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and/or employees verbally or in writing.
1. Intermediate mathematics skills with ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions and percentages.
1. Prioritization skills - ability to recognize and act on changing priorities.
2. Demonstrated organizational skills with acute attention to detail with great accuracy.
3. Ability to take the initiative in performing moderately complex research work in pursuing departmental responsibilities.
1. Demonstrated knowledge of position classification and affirmative action compliance.
2. Excellent customer service skills with ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, employees and vendors.
1. Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation.
