Position Overview
The Single Family CFO Risk and Controls team in the Finance division is currently seeking a Financial Controller Senior to support the SF Change Control Board (CCB) process and first line functions including managing the Critical Data Elements inventory, Risk and Controls Assessments and Segment Controls execution. The candidate will assist in the day-to-day activities in these areas and work closely with the SF CFO Managers and Directors and across all areas in the Finance Division, as well as all other divisions, including Single Family business, Information Technology and Internal Audit.
Responsibilities Include:
•Support the Finance Change Control Board process, including preparing the meeting Agendas/Minutes, tracking and recording project deliverables and approvals.
•Ensure adherence to Freddie Mac corporate SOX change management methodologies by partnering with business and IT project teams throughout the change management process.
•Assist in the maintenance of the critical data elements inventory (including lineage of data) and updating corresponding workflows.
•Execute Segment controls processes, including those related to Model review, Controls Changes, Procedures and AIMs.
•Perform risk and controls assessments of application changes impacting SOX financial reporting and/or critical data elements.
•Perform deployment traceability reviews prior to deployment and subsequent completion of workpapers and documentation, including the review of control test approach and verification that control test results are effectively validating control changes.
•Assist in other first line risk and controls processes as needed.
Qualifications

Basic Requirements
•Minimum of two years of related professional work experience
•Bachelor’s degree in Business, related field or equivalent work experience
•Demonstrated excellent organization and planning skills
•Problem solving abilities and analytical skills
•Solid Microsoft Office skills
Preferred Skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Accounting, Audit or Information Systems background and experience
• Previous applied experience with risks and controls; Sarbanes-Oxley knowledge
• Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle and change management
• Able to work independently and effectively with staff and management at all levels and across divisions
• Adept at building strong relationships with team members and business partners
• Able to adapt to shifts in priority and multi-task
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
