The Role
As a Sales Quality Assurance Service Rep, you will be responsible for supporting the Small Market Retirement Plan Services Internal and External Sales Team with various sales to service responsibilities to improve productivity and results.
Responsibilities
• Fields inbound broker/ dealer calls and answers questions on retirement products
• Provides proposal and pricing sales support to the desk and field
• Packages and sends literature requests from the Online Marketing Center
• Maintains integrity of internal contact management system, ensuring that contact lists for all departments and personnel are correct
• Completes paperwork, including Request for Contracts, Black-Out Notices, Letters of Instruction, etc. for internal stakeholders
• Generates retirement proposals for internal wholesalers
• Runs quality control check on all outgoing paperwork for accuracy
• Processes and maintains all NIGO (Not in Good Order) paperwork until paperwork checklist is complete.
• Works closely with Implementation team on a daily basis to enhance sales to service model.
• Gathers case information using New Business systems to better equip internals for their outbound sales calls
• Develops relationships with internal stakeholders including External Wholesalers, Product Manufacturing, Implementation, Licensing, and Customer Service to make sure that business standards and expectations are met.
• Delivers routine work independently, in accordance with established procedures and guidelines, in a timely manner and meets deadlines appropriately.
• Makes routine and non-routine decisions under close supervision, applying limited discretion within role except for matters of significance which affect the business as a whole or a significant part of it, in accordance with established procedures/guidelines.
• Performs task by applying core knowledge obtained from the role and acquires increasingly more knowledge to apply in the role.
• Supports and promotes change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.
• Meets or exceeds departmental quality and service standards.
• Works overtime as needed.
Requirements:
Education
High school diploma or GED; College degree preferred
FINRA Series 6, 63 and Resident Life and Health licenses required or must be obtained within 90 days of hire
Experience
• 0-1+ years of experience in Sales that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position
• Education, experience and/or proficiency in Sales, Communications, Customer Service
• Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret internal documents such as policy and procedures and standard operating procedures.
• Demonstrates ability to evaluate information and the implications of a course of action or solution.
• Ability to interpret and apply common sense understanding to carry out a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Demonstrates ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrates the ability to use sound judgment and discretion regarding confidential information.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to detail.
• Demonstrates solid relationship management skills with internal and/or clients (e.g. management, peers, colleagues, customers, etc.).
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Successfully completes regulatory and job training requirements.
• Ability to work with others in a team environment.
