As a Human Resources Consultant based in our Los Angeles, CA office, you will be a key member of the Investment Group Human Resources (HR) team supporting the Fixed Income & Equity Trading, Quantitative Research Analytics (QRA), Capital Strategy Research (CSR), Corporate Access, and Research Services business groups. You will partner with the HR team and business leaders to effectively manage the ‘people component’ of Capital Group’s business strategy, particularly focusing on the attraction, engagement, development, and retention of our associates.
Responsibilities:
•Consulting with the business in the design and delivery of HR solutions on a broad spectrum of HR matters, including associate relations, compensation, and recruiting in partnership with specialist areas of HR
•Enhancing organizational learning and development by facilitating training programs and group discussions on various topics, such as leadership development, change management, business transformation and restructuring, and performance management, using demonstrated thought leadership and relevant experience
•Providing thought leadership, education, and tools to managers and associates on the application of company policies, procedures, and effectively managing change and transition
•Consulting with business leaders on organizational design and implements organizational effectiveness solutions that enable business objectives
•Coaching and supporting managers in developing high performing teams, building talent bench, and driving associate engagement. Facilitating the performance review program to ensure effectiveness and alignment with individual performance
•Conducting HR trend analysis and reporting activities to identify opportunities and recommend solutions
•Executing on initiatives and projects, in partnership with the business and HR leadership teams
Qualifications:
•5+ years of Human Resources experience
•Demonstrated knowledge of and expertise in Human Resources processes and policies, external best practices, and legal compliance
•Experience identifying and addressing complex performance management and other employee relations issues
•Effective written and verbal communication skills with a diverse group of associates and senior business leaders
•Strength in managing multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously
•Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data, identify trends and turn information into actionable business insights
•Strong presentation and facilitation skills and experience delivering human resources training programs
•Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or Masters in Industrial Relations or Human Resources Management is preferred
