Job Purpose (Job Summary):

This position will be accountable for partnering with key roles (e.g. Application teams or other Infrastructure functions) to create solutions that are aligned to the architecture principles, leverage common solutions and services, and meet the financial targets (cost and benefits) as defined by Infrastructure leadership. The Senior Manager of Cloud Transformation will lead the company’s ‘cloud first’ technology strategy, bringing contemporary knowledge and strong future vision to help realize the organization’s customer focus and competitive position. The incumbent is responsible for building strong and open relationships and rapport with leaders at all levels and will educate senior leaders on technology in the Digital era.
Key Responsibilities / Duties:
• Lead the design, engineering and integration of Cloud technologies to deliver a fully integrated Cloud offering for the company.
• Design strategy within core functions to support the Company’s vision. Leads strategic technology planning to achieve business goals
• Prioritizing technology initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment and management of current and future technologies.
• Drive execution and technology adoption initiatives, evaluating, and redefining technology architecture, evaluating current operating technology systems to map to business needs, and ensuring effective execution of IT strategy
• Maintaining the highest level of efficiency, and promoting speed, quality and low-cost operations.
• Develops and attracts high-caliber talent to match the identified needs of the IT organization;
• Specifically, talent aligned with the ‘cloud first’ approach. Serves as a role model in this area, demonstrating personal engagement in the development of direct reports as well as other IT management and professional staff.
• Drives continuous improvement by seeking and evaluating new and emerging technology ideas, changes and trends on an ongoing basis.
• Recommends new technology to improve customer experience, reduce costs and provide a competitive advantage.
• Build a strong relationship and rapport with key stakeholders, including business partners, Application Engineering leads and other Infrastructure functions (Engineering, Operations, etc)
Qualifications
Work Experience / Knowledge:
• At least 12 years experience in information technology with 3-5 years of Financial Services experience
• Increasing responsibility for large cloud transformation initiatives required
• Experience in Asset Management with exposure to complex concepts into multiple architectural “views” aimed at varying audiences
• Broad based IT Infrastructure knowledge and experience (Networking, Server/Storage, Databases, Citrix Hosting, etc.)
• Working knowledge of DevOps specifically supporting CI / CD environments
• Familiarity and some experience with cloud native containers and serverless functions
• Experience with blueprinting and automation of cloud provisioning and maintenance
• Understand across cloud components (network, server, storage, security, applications)
• Configuration management using CloudFormation, Terraform, Chef & Puppet
• Strong practical Linux and Windows-based systems administration skills in a Cloud or Virtualized environment.
Skills / Other Personal Attributes Required:
• Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interact and communicate throughout the organization with a variety of individuals at all technical levels is required.
• Must have the ability to present technical presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to collaborate with business analysts and clients to develop strategies and solutions of high business value
Formal Education:(minimum requirement to perform job duties)
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field of study or equivalent years of direct experience required
• A Master’s of Business Administration in a related field is preferred or commensurate relevant work experience
