We are seeking a Nashville based UX Designer to join our AB User-Centered Design & Engineering team in Technology.

Describe the role:
You are a passionate, energetic UX designer, based in Nashville or willing to move to Nashville, who will be collaborating with product managers, business analysts, researchers, designers, developers, and testers to create thoughtful, user-centered digital products for both mobile and web platforms. On the spectrum of user experience skills, this role will be focused mostly on UX (information architecture and interaction design), and creating beautiful high-fidelity designs.
Describe the applications and business or enterprise functions the role supports:
Most immediately the role will be in support of a broad revamping of our data and toolsets for the Client Group that needs to take place to fuel our future growth globally across channels. The Client Group is comprised of Retail and Institutional Sales, Client Services, Business Development Groups, Marketing, with over 500 staff globally, concentrated in the US, Europe, Asia-ex Japan, Australia, and Japan.
This revamp includes the building a new data warehouse, bringing together client interactions, sales, content, readership, and third-party data sets, to enable more nimble, effective, and predictive business intelligence, a re-organization and simplification of our CRM, and the build out of new customized front end tools for our global Sales teams. Post this project, this role will be in support of developing out mobile and web applications for the wider firm.
The key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Translating business requirements and user research findings into elegant solutions for complex problems.
• Thinking through user journeys – producing storyboards, user flows, wireframes, and mockups that define the user experience.
• Creating prototypes that showcase design concepts and interaction patterns.
• Creating beautiful designs – producing high-fidelity assets and design specifications.
• Collaborating with engineers to ensure a high-quality implementation of designs.
• Continually keeping yourself and your design team updated with current and best design practices and trends.
• Taking a user-centered design approach driven by testing and iteration.

The role will provide a wide variety of experiences and exposures, across different business units, processes, and technology, and will require travel and/or medium term stays in Europe, Asia, Australia, and to our New York office.

Job Qualifications (The ideal candidate should have the following):
Qualifications, Experience, Education:
• 3+ years of professional experience in UX & UI design.
• Proficiency in design software (Sketch, Illustrator, InVision, Adobe XD).
• Experience designing for mobile platforms (iOS/Android).
• Understanding of an agile/scrum development process.
• Proven ability to understand detailed requirements, design complete user experiences that meet client needs, and collaborate with developers to execute and deliver on the UX vision.
• Experience using user research findings as a basis for ideation and improvement.
• Hands-on experience creating design deliverables including storyboards, user flows, sitemaps, wireframes, prototypes, mockups, and high-fidelity assets.
Skills:
• Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teammates, collaborators, and clients.
• Natural tendency towards collaboration, curiosity, and open communication.
• Understanding of interface and interaction patterns and best practices for various platforms.
• Passion for visual design.
• A portfolio of design work that is clear, professional, and exhibits the above.
