Our US Information Services team is seeking recent college graduates for data scientist positions to construct best in class analytical solutions and business insights for Equifax.
The Equifax Data & Analytics Rotational Development Program
During the Data & Analytics Rotational Program, you will work with project leads to leverage Equifax’s unique data assets and cutting edge technologies, like our Hadoop analytics platform to solve business problems for Equifax and our customers. D&A Associates with rotate through 3 to 4 different areas within Data and Analytics. D&A Associates will creatively and efficiently solving analytical problems and create risk and marketing solutions for Equifax customers.
Key Program Elements
• A two year commitment with 3 to 4 work assignments within Data & Analytics - focusing on data quality, data governance, validation, data processing, direct customer interactions, and data products
• Opportunity for in-depth learning about our products, customers and business
• Analysis of business/marketing intelligence, score development, and score validations
• Auditing of the implementation of products and analytic solutions
• Creation of business intelligence visualizations of insights for customers and data asset summaries for data quality assessments
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering or other quantitative discipline - Master’s degree a plus
• Eligible candidates must have completed their degree by May 2019
• 1-2 years coursework and/or experience with advanced data mining algorithms such as machine learning, and logistic/linear regression solutions
• Experience or coursework with ingesting, analyzing and summarizing large data sets
• Experience or coursework in code development in SQL, Python, Hive, Impala, R or SAS
• Experience operating in a Unix/Linux operating system and with Hadoop or other database technologies
• Experience with data visualization software (e.g., Spotfire, Tableau) a plus
• Extensive experience utilizing Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong communication skills necessary – ability to explain methodologies and results to non-technical individuals
