The Role
The Sr. Consultant, Financial Analyst (CFA Preferred) will provide subject matter expertise and direction to field advisors seeking technical or planning support. This role will provide support to the firms’ financial planners and must have excellent oral and written communication skills. The ideal candidate must be passionate about helping clients, self-motivated, able to work independently with an ability to prioritize to meet deadlines. Due to the complex nature of clients’ investment objectives and related service needs, candidate must be well versed in a broad range of investment disciplines and strategies.
Critical Success Factors:
• Participate in portfolio management activities for a broad array of Individual, Family and Trust and Balanced Institutional portfolios; each subject to the customized investment needs of the client. Services include, but are not limited to, management of liquidity needs, analysis of equity, fixed income and opportunistic alternative investments as appropriate.
• Develop investment strategies for clients in coordination with Heritage Financial Advisors
• Provide fact-based and well-researched recommendations to all Heritage Financial Advisors
• Maintain strong relationships to all Heritage Financial Advisors/Teams and participate actively in the analysis of the strategies.
• Maintain Heritage’s portfolio models as part of the Investment Committee
• Provide periodic investment product update to all Heritage Financial Advisors
Responsibilities
• Acts as a subject matter expert in design and debrief meetings to identify case-specific observations and makes appropriate recommendations to advisors.
• Acts as the point of contact for field advisors and staff seeking technical and/or planning support from LFN's National Planning Center.
• Coaches advisors on all stages of the operations cycle.
• Collaborates and consults with advisors and other team members to build complex financial plans and models to support external client needs.
• Directs training on financial planning & timely investment topics to team members, advisors, and office staff when necessary.
• Maintains a national speaking presence at company-wide training events.
• Provides direction and solutions to advisors on goal-based plans for their external clients.
• Reviews, identifies, and communicates recommendations on complex and high net worth cases to advisors and other team members.
• Utilizes Lincoln approved financial planning and investment planning software tools to create complex models for advisors' client needs.
Education & Experience
• 5 7+ Years financial planning experience in the insurance or investment industry.(Required)
• 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's)in (Minimum Required)
Certifications
• Chartered Financial Analyst (Preferred)
Travel Information
• Travel Type : National Domestic
• Travel Amount : up to 50%
