Job Summary -
The GMP Operations Manager will be leading a professional facilities management team on one of JLL’s client sites. This position is responsible for providing calibration and preventative maintenance on equipment, coordinating external vendors, and managing the efficient operations of the facility. It will also manage additional functions on site, including Mailroom, Shipping/Receiving, AV, and Maintenance engineers.
We are ideally looking for someone coming from a strong hands-on maintenance background who has also gained People, Client, and Budget management experience and is ready for a site leadership position.
Job Responsibilities
• Primary focus is operational execution consistent with customer expectations, Master Services Agreement (MSA) and JLL business objectives, while serving as the Lead FM for the Campus
• Oversees site operations, manages safety, quality, staffing and provides financial support in a GMP manufacturing environment
• Have a strong focus ensuring our JLL staff and 3rd party vendor partners meet all EHS, AHJs, GMP compliance calendars and Satisfaction Surveys client expectations and Statements of Work (SOW) requirements.
• Serve as the main point of contact for calibration and maintenance activities. Field customer requests and ensure the required work is executed on time.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of all facility infrastructure systems, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical and general building systems and equipment. Manage vendors performing calibration and preventative maintenance work in the – request quotes, issue PO’s, review JSA’s, ensure vendor qualifications, schedule work, escort vendors, and review and file completed documentation
• Direct over sight of Primary Operator of the USP water system required for clinical manufacturing equipment cleaning: review weekly vendor monitoring documentation, arrange quarterly maintenance, and respond to alarms.
• Work with Quality Engineering, Development Quality, and Operations to complete documentation to release GMP clinical manufacturing areas after intrusive work or events have occurred.
• Create, execute, enter, and review work orders and calibrations in the CMMS Corrigo and Facility 360 (historical) as required.
• Serve as liaison between customers and services such as HVAC, janitorial, lab services, pest control, waste management, and engineering/projects.
• Work with Quality Engineering for operation, maintenance and documentation of all activities related to the HVAC Systems, USP Water Generation and Distribution Skids, Environmental Chambers, and area environmental monitoring.
• Complete NOE’s, RCA, CAPA’s, and Audit Responses on behalf of JLL.
• Attend weekly planning and scheduling meetings as required with area supervisors and planners to determine work priority, schedule, and maintain future backlog of work orders. Assist area planners to determine location, scope and details of work orders entered by requestors. Provide technical assistance where required.
• Work with Project Engineering by providing information on the building infrastructure and construction impact on the building occupants. Attend all project meetings that pertain to GMP Facilities. Ensure all facility and maintenance issues are addressed during conceptual design.
• Daily inspection of maintenance or project work being performed by in-house or contracted employees.
• Must be available 24/7 to respond to building emergencies or to respond to work being performed by contractors after hours.
Requirements
• Strong mechanical knowledge of all facility infrastructure systems, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical and general building systems and equipment.
• Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in a similar position.
• Must have previous experience in a GMP certified facility; pharmaceutical industry experience.
• Experience with CMMS and Calibrations Systems is required; Corrigo is preferred.
