The VALIC Senior Implementation Analyst Lead primary role within the eServices Team is to partner with our Implementation Consultants to analyze, translate and clarify our client’s needs in order to determine the payroll feeds and testing requirements for external clients and/or their payroll vendors.
Within the first six (6) to twelve (12) months the person in this position will be expected to:
1. Learn and understand basic pension rules and IRS retirement plan types, which will require independent study
2. Learn and understand data requirements in existing file formats and be able to articulate meaning of each data field
3. Present and consult for each file layout with emphasis on data requirements as they relate to the plan services to be rendered
4. Test file formats, confirm data compliance and intergrity

• Manage assignment work flow for eServices team members.
• Mentor and guide eServices team members ensuring all are trained and capable to manage the assigned tasks.
• Implement and assist with the usage of VALIC websites for the purpose of remittance funding of retirement contributions.
• Provide information and support to plan sponsors to eliminate manual and/or exception processes related to contribution remittance and data reporting.
• Support Implementation Consultants in successfully implementing the payroll/remittance process for plan sponsors.
• Maintain professional relationships with internal/external clients to successfully achieve business needs. Pro-actively partner with both internal and external clients to resolve challenges.
• Facilitate the prevention of errors by performing testing and quality control prior to implementation.
• Initiate timely communication to internal/external clients through various methods (telephone and/or email) to resolve payroll implementation. Participate and/or lead conference calls to discuss file specifications or remittance process with various levels of personnel.
• Assist manager with overflow workloads
• Assist with quality review for fellow team members
• Work on rotating team assignments (i.e. database and spreadsheet updates, meeting agendas)
• Project work and research as needed

What we are looking for:
• Bachelor's degree in related field. NOTE: Four years of directly related work experience may be substituted for the college degree or successful completion of relevant professional designation preferred (i.e. CEBS, ASPA, etc.)
• Requires a high degree of independent judgment and discretion to effectively interpret and communicate the operation of retirement plans.
• Will use consulting skills to influence decisions that will impact the implementation process.
• Independently researches problems and gathers information.
• Uses analytical skills to interpret data and identify discrepancies in data integrity
• Communicates and implements solutions.
• Assures resolution and client satisfaction.
• Expected to identify and escalate items as needed to Managers.
