The Financial Control Group (FCG) is responsible for overseeing the accounting and financial and regulatory reporting for the Firm. FCG prepares external financial reports for public filings and regulators. For internal reporting FCG, along with Financial Planning and Analysis (FPA), summarizes, plans and forecasts the organization's financial position, including income statements, balance sheets, and analyses of future revenues, expenses and earnings. FCG is comprised of Business Unit Controllers, Infrastructure Controllers, Accounting, Regulatory and Reporting groups, and Valuation Review.
The Investment Management (IM) Financial Control Group comprises of multiple teams to supporting the IM Business. The Investment Management Accounting Services (IMAS) team partners with IM FCG CFO teams, and Global Control Functions to provide daily and other periodic reporting support.
Responsibilities:
Lead a dynamic team responsible for the billing & collection of fee revenue and review and payment of distribution (fee sharing) expenses to internal and external brokers across each of the Investment Management businesses. Serve as a strategic partner to the Investing and Sales organizations.
• Team responsible for billing and collection of Management and Administrative Fees and payment of various fee sharing expenses to internal and external brokers.
• Develop reporting functionality to support client level profitability.
• Record Fee Revenue and Fee Sharing Expense accruals to the general ledger on a monthly basis.
• Oversee and ensure accuracy of Firm?s balance sheet and P/L accounts across numerous legal entities.
• Produce various analytics and management reports for senior business unit review.
• Participate in periodic Firm budget and forecast exercises including inputs used in the semi-annual CCAR stress test submitted to the Fed.
• Assess new account/new product offerings to determine operational support requirements.
• Compile pro forma financial analysis on prospective clients.
• Cross-function coordination across with Investing, Sales, Operations, Legal, Compliance and Technology organizations.
• Participate in all internal and external audits and regulatory exams, including support of compilation and filing of annual financial statements for a limited purpose broker-dealer entity.
• Produce Ad-hoc analysis for senior business unit and finance management.
• Provide supervision, training and guidance to staff of 12 located in West Conshohocken, PA (Travel Required).
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or related fields
• 12-15 years of relevant experience
• Proven ability to execute special projects and strategic initiatives; manage time effectively and meet tight deadlines
• Ability to develop and maintain consultative relationships with various constituents at all levels
• Ability and willingness to adapt to new challenges in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both written and oral
• Outstanding attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Proven track record in collaborating with multi-location teams and managing/developing teams
• Successfully demonstrated process improvement and optimization in prior roles/experience
• Prior experience working with Mutual Funds and Fund of Funds

• FINRA Series 99 License
• Billing/invoicing experience
• Oracle Essbase experience
