Introduction to the Team
We are currently seeking a Controller to be part of our Outsourced Finance and Accounting (OFA) team. Our OFA group provides outsourced cloud-based finance and accounting services – accounts payable and bill pay; customer billing and accounts receivable management; payroll of all sizes; employee expense management; controllership and CFO services; financial and management reporting – in other words, turnkey finance and accounting capabilities. The process is slick, effective, uses true state-of-the-art ERP software with 24/7/365 real time delivery. The custom dashboards produced by what we do are without equal. This is really a wonderful approach to modern accounting for startup, emerging and high growth enterprises, and not-for-profit organizations of all sizes. OFA is a rapidly growing practice in the firm.

Responsibilities:
• Work closely with clients to support their accounting and reporting needs, enabling financial information for business decisions
• Manage the month-end close process to ensure completeness and timeliness of client deliverables
• Utilize various technologies to streamline the month-end close process and add value to the client experience
• Assist in the creation or expansion of accounting policies and procedures
• Assist in issuing timely and complete financial statements for clients
• Interface with clients and coordinate with team through virtual processes and platforms
• Perform overview of financial statements for inconsistencies and opportunities of increased revenue generation or cost savings
• Periodically prepare and/or review account reconciliations
• Review journal entries prepared by staff
• Facilitate updates needed to the general ledger and other data requirements
• Provide training and technical coaching to Account Managers/Coordinators
• Collaborate with the team to identify new opportunities
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or equivalent industry experience preferred
• Minimum of 4 years of related experience
• CPA preferred
• Experience with Excel, Word, Outlook, QuickBooks or other accounting packages
• Ability to establish priorities, work independently and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
