We have just opened an opportunity for a Business Development Officer based in the Northeastern U.S reporting into the Zions Bank Professional Practices Group located in Salt Lake City, UT. This is a rare opportunity to join an innovative, newly formed group that supports medical practice lending nationwide, especially in the dental, optometry and veterinarian specialties. Ideal candidates will have the skills and experience necessary to:
• Source, develop and close prospects, new clients and sell professional practices services and products in the DC, MD, VA, etc. markets.
• Develop sales strategies and expand referral sources.
• Gather data to be used in the selling process, participate in community organizations and activities, and assist prospective clients in completing loan and services applications.
• Maintain on-going relationships with existing clients.
• May supervise or lead lower level BDO's
• Remain adaptable and take on additional assignments as needed.
Qualifications
What you’ll bring to the table:
• Requires a Bachelors’ Degree, preferably in finance or related field and 4+ years of experience in business development, sales, banking/finance products and services or other directly related experience.
• Extensive knowledge of sales techniques, business development, banking/finance products and services.
• Must have excellent customer service and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
