POSITION SUMMARY
The VP Operations is responsible for managing and directing the daily activities of all mortgage operations within an operations center.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manages/directs the day-to-day activities of all operations resources within a site
• Responsible for the loan level execution of all mortgage operations within a region, including processing, Closing, Funding, and Post Closing resolutions
• Responsible for the productivity, capacity management, budgetary performance, and operational efficiency of all operations within center
• Considers customer service, quality, and efficiency in all areas of the file flow
• Sets expectations for turn times and productivity at an individual and department level
• Hires, trains, and counsels managers and front line operations resources
• Provides oversight of operations managers including the hiring and evaluation of front line operations resources
• Provides prompt, quality service to operations team and correspondents in a friendly and professional manner
• Holds weekly staff meetings with direct and 2nd level reports to ensure constant communication and teamwork is occurring
• Ensures all requirements from Risk, Legal, Compliance, and HR have been incorporated into the end-to-end file flow
• Drives/approves technology enhancements as it relates to the end-to-end file flow
• Establishes/monitors manual processes when applicable
• Utilizes strong mortgage background to review escalated files and provide guidance on difficult transactions.
• Communicates internally and externally regarding decisions made on escalated loan level scenarios as necessary

• All Caliber compensation will be paid in accordance with state and federal law, including Regulation Z of the Truth in Lending Act. This position is considered a non-loan originator position, this means participants may not engage in activities of a loan originator, including: communicating directly with borrowers about credit qualification or loan terms, including pricing concessions or other transaction-specific terms or conditions
QUALIFICATIONS
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 7+ years mortgage banking experience with 5+ years managerial experience-managing multiple locations or sites a plus
• Experience managing a Direct to Consumer and New Customer Acquisition fulfillment model a plus
• Diverse experience in all areas of mortgage operations including: processing, underwriting, closing, funding, and post closing
• Ability to effectively present information/respond to questions from managers, clients, customers and public
• Capable of working in a paperless environment
