Jackson National Life Distributors LLC (JNLD) has an opening for an Sr. Distribution Reporting Analyst.
Job Purpose
The Sr. Distribution Reporting Analyst will be responsible for managing sales information reporting projects for Jackson. Provides key financial analysis and management reporting by managing various monthly reporting processes and reporting for executive management and sales teams. Conducts complex financial analysis and modeling projects.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Creates and distributes weekly and monthly reporting metrics and reports to members of Senior Management and JNLD sales teams.
• Analyzes key financial data measuring sales performance and product sales using complex analysis tools, including advanced Microsoft Excel and Access programs.
• Coordinates with Sales Team to maintain accurate sales information in the reporting system and ensures that sales production is being credited appropriately for proper compensation.
• Identifies, researches, and resolves potential issues with production reporting.
• Creates financial models and performs financial modeling, and forecasting.
• Develops graphs, charts, and executive dashboards.
• Conducts internal and external research projects upon request.
• Documents and adheres to corporate and departmental policies and procedures.
• Recommends and implements new procedures/controls to assure accuracy, efficiency and improved process management.
• Reviews the work of less experienced analysts and provides feedback and guidance.
• Builds and maintains relationships with internal and externals contacts.
• Provides ad-hoc reporting as requested.
Other duties
• Assists in special projects as requested.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Broad knowledge of annuities products a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.
• Ability to analyze, interpret and present complex concepts.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Access, and other relevant systems.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong research, analytical and data mining skills.
• Ability to multi-task with a strong attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving skills and solution oriented.
• Proficiency in the creation of spreadsheets for modeling and trend analysis.
• Ability to lead projects dealing with the analysis of financial, performance, and operating data.
• Ability to mentor and train less experienced analysts.
• Solid understanding of financial concepts and investment products.
• Strong understanding of sales force organization, distribution structure and products.
• Ability to work extended hours as needed to meet business requirements.
Education and Experience Required
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Financial services and/or insurance industry experience preferred.
