We are looking to fill a Relationship Manager position for our Retail Distribution channel. The Retail Channel is made up of Independent Marketing Organizations, Independent Broker Dealers and Registered Investment Advisors. This position will build new and support existing relationships with wholesaler, marketer, sales-force and home office associates in the sales of annuity products. Provide dedicated phone support for producers and home office associates regarding product features, sales concepts, general doing business communications and tax related questions.
Responsibilities
• Work closely with the assigned group and external sales to develop and execute an appropriate business plan to maximize territorial sales. Identify key producers; develop relationships and aid in the creation and implementation of marketing campaigns.
• Provide sales and marketing support including the development and implementation of phone and email campaigns.
• Respond to inquiries from producers regarding products and administrative processes, including, but not limited to, the sales process.
• Develop product proposals and illustrations for producers; maintain illustration software most up to date with product rates and features
• Conduct market research: profile agents and their business practices to identify and develop top producing agents.
• Develop and maintain relationships with all active licensed producers.
• Provide agent training and continuing education as required.
• Provide feedback on new product and sales ideas; conduct competition reporting and/or conservation.
• Promote legal compliance and market conduct standards established by GAIG.
• Update producer websites to provide accurate point of sales forms and sales information
• Be aware of our competition and their offerings.
Associated Duties:
• Participate in department and company processes.
• Assist with department communication notices.
• Prepare Competition reports and other financial, agency reports.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree is required with a focus in Business or Marketing.
• NASD Series 6 or 7.
• Life and Health Agent License.
• 3-5 years of experience in marketing and sales, preferably in the insurance industry
• Professional designations such as CLU, CFP, CASL, CHFC are preferred.
• Effective telemarketing skills.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products and experience with various insurance/annuity administration systems. Experience with CRM systems is a plus.
• In-depth knowledge of company products and distribution.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (including presentation skills).
• Good working knowledge of software systems used (office and administration systems).
• Ablility to work effectively in a team environment and multi-task projects.
• Knowledge of securities and insurance products.
• Creative problem solving skills; able to effectively coordinate projects independently.
• Well organized with the ability to multitask.
