Job Description
Visa’s Innovation team is a global client facing organization that sets Visa’s public innovation agenda and promotes hands on incubation and rapid prototyping to show the art of the possible for clients and partners.
The team has an open position as Manager, who is responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of the innovation center and designing and executing Visa’s Innovation Center Tour Experiences and Innovation Showcases. He/she will also interact closely with the Global Innovation Activation Team to support experiences at Visa Sponsored Global events and tradeshows.
He/she must be a self-started, highly organized, creative and hands-on, demonstrate ability to anticipate the needs of the innovation team and have team player mentality.
Key responsibilities
• Responsible for designing and executing Innovation Center Tour Experiences, from researching consumer and payments trends to building the experiences and narrative. He/she will also coordinate the development of the demos
• Ensure the smooth functioning of all devices/demos/ assets and coordinate with internal and external providers when issues arise
• Help develop customized engagement agendas, facilitation, scheduling and hosting pre-engagement meetings to ensure account teams collaborate with speakers and that all participants understand account status and meeting objectives as well as scheduling of all post engagement meetings and needed follow ups
• Responsible for hosting executives, sales teams and customers and serving as the point person responsible for overall meeting and addressing any issues that arise
• Provide support to the Innovation team as well as preparing all needed reports and coordinate any needed activity to ensure the success of the smooth running of each engagement and Innovation Center
• Recommend and secure corporate resources, manage engagement logistics, participate in engagements and prepare post briefing follow-up
• Must have ability to communicate effectively in front of executive-level customer audiences.
• Additional projects and programs as assigned. If needed, must be able to support (if needed) assigned projects
Qualifications
• A Bachelor’s Degree in related subject (e.g. engineering, marketing, communications) and 5-8 years of experience supporting teams in fast paced environment required
• Knowledge and expertise in human center / design thinking methodologies is preferred
• Experience in start-ups, technology environment preferred
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects/events simultaneously
• Be proactive and solution-oriented
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Fully proficient on all Microsoft products including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
• Bilingual English and Spanish. Not required, but will be advantageous if the candidate is fluent in Portuguese
