Sr. Director of Product
Carrollton, TX – off the tollway
TMX is seeking a Sr. Director of Product to join our Corporate Product Management team in Carrollton, Texas. This position will report to Senior Vice President of Business Development and Customer Engagement and interface with the President and key business stakeholders. In addition to product management, relationship management, and service delivery of stores system application and infrastructure service, the VP of Product will drive and coordinate strategic planning for key IT programs and initiatives for the business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Overall management responsibility for business relationships, product management for stores systems, including developing strategies, requirements, proposals, operational processes, and procedures
Oversight of the Product Development Team and Business Analysts and the majority of our retail product development and maintenance projects
Foster company-wide business relationships and clearly communicate the vision of the IT department throughout the organization in order to gain support and endorsement for high-level strategies, while translating those strategies to the technology teams
Work with the IT leadership team to understand all IT projects including: resources required, performance measurement and productivity of IT resources, back office operations, P&L impact, processes, deployment and integration, program and product management, and quality and performance reports
Create staffing models, budget forecasts, and project plans in respect to business goals, particularly as they pertain to Product Development and IT impacts
Create and present systems options that enable future growth while managing cost, while measuring risk and reward and proposing contingency plans
Engage in day-to-day operating activities to include expense, cost, and margin control; and monthly, quarterly, and annual financial goal management, supported by ongoing visits to TMX store locations
Assist in developing and implementing technology release plans, working with all departments to execute and drive adoption/utilization of new systems
Create and maintain IT roadmaps to meet the current and future needs of the business in conjunction with IT leadership
Build and drive new processes and efficiencies across the corporation in addition to working with Program Managers and IT leadership to ensure compliance to project/program standards, processes, and templates
Manage and negotiate with a variety of vendors to leverage their capabilities and provide higher value and stable services for the organization
Establish processes for continual review and improvement of policy and procedure standards, to include quantitative metrics capture and time-series trend measurement and analysis
Develop and manage staff to assure timely and satisfactory response to needs of client community

Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree required, Master’s degree preferred
• Minimum of 7 – 10 years’ experience performing Product Management or Product development related duties working on large projects and programs
• Experience performing long-term (5 year) planning for projects and initiatives
• Experience in and desire to get your hands dirty in a highly dynamic, fast-paced, rapidly growing business
• Strong operational and product experience; 5+ years preferably inside multiple high-growth companies
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to consistently develop and maintain strong business partnerships
• Strong technical, analytical, and planning skills
• Strong business acumen and program management skills
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Standing, walking, sitting, repetitive, movements, and use of mechanical controls, such as keyboard, are frequently required.
Preferred Qualifications
• MBA or professional certification
