Job Title Sr. Shared Services Specialist
What does a great (insert position title) do?
The Shared Services Billing I role maintains billing records and prepares invoices for our external clients. We seek highly energetic professionals who drive value by delivering revenue and cost saving opportunities and identifying process improvements. The Shared Services Billing I role primarily oversees billing functions and performs additional research and/or analysis as required to assure adequate controls, reporting, and financial performance capabilities.
• Experience within the billing, contract, and revenue recognition areas highly preferred.
• Experience reading and interpreting contracts for billable items along with documenting and maintaining billing spreadsheets highly preferred.
• Experience using SAP highly preferred. Ability to manage and oversee complex billing and production systems in order to accurately invoice and record revenue in a timely basis.
• Ability to audit the work of others plus your own activities, resolving audit issues and solving the root cause of any audit issues.
• Ability to own, document and continually improve billing processes.
• Operate under general supervision to plan, conduct and establish a functional vision for assignments. Reviews progress and evaluates results.
• Senior-level associates should possess the ability to explain the applicability and differences of various models, procedures and processes.
• Demonstrated customer service skills to both external and internal Clients and the desire to innovate to provide best-in-class services.
Basic Qualifications for Consideration:
• Ability to make decisions and resolve problems using experience and professional judgment, and make effective recommendations regarding the use of funds, equipment, and people.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Organization skills permitting the effective management of several concurrent projects and priorities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to work extended hours as needed.
Preferred Skills, Experience, and Education:.
• Bachelor’s degree required, preferred in accounting, finance or equivalent field.
• A minimum of three years of billing or relevant accounting experience.
• Solid PC skills (MS Office especially Excel, Word and Access).
