Job Description
Position Summary:
The Dispute and Support Operations (DSO) Business Analyst is primarily responsible for planning, testing and implementing modernization efforts for the organization. In addition, effective execution of the multi-year strategy, initiatives, organizational alignment, communication and key business target metrics is required. This individual contributor will require extensive interaction with resources at various levels across multiple cross-functional areas such as Visa Operations, Development, IT, Account Management, Implementations, Product, Sales and Global Solutions. The position is based in Highlands Ranch, CO.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead global efforts to continually evaluate current processes to determine best support strategy, process improvements and how to gain more effectiveness and efficiency.
• Establish metrics and monitoring mechanisms to report effectiveness of strategies and supporting programs.
• Visionary expertise identifying efficiencies and the tools and applications related to those efficiencies
• Providing strategy, integration and coordination to multiple, cross-functional projects
• Overall planning, directing and oversight responsibility of multiple projects, products, services or functions typically requiring the utilization or management of resources across multiple departments or functional areas
• Write business requirements in support of enhancement and integration efforts for Capital Planning purposes including influencing business cases and ROI analytics
• Work with process owners and stakeholders to re-engineer processes to be simple, nimble, repeatable, measurable, achievable and continuously improved
• Proactively identifies and solves complex problems that impact the management, relationship, and direction of the business
• Exceptional knowledge on different types of CRM solution software, with hands-on experience in implementing automation and system integration projects
• Representing the client support division in strategic company initiative efforts related to Visa’s dispute resolution management
• Building and maintaining relationships with Senior Management, Product, Sales, Account Management and IT/Development groups
• Establishes and fosters relationships with client and internal stakeholders at all levels of staff, senior and executive management. Provides thought leadership and strategic guidance during the solution development process to ensure all necessary tools, processes, procedures and staff are in place to provide outstanding client support
• Builds a strong and cohesive business cases by providing thought leadership and applying working knowledge of Visa and Visa DPS products, systems and procedures
• Independently formulating decisions that may have significant operating and financial impact to Visa initiatives, reputation and clients
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of experience in related fields. Graduate degree optional
• Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
• Requirements gathering, requirements communication, planning & management, analysis and documentation and implementation
• Strong project management skills required. PMO, Six Sigma preferred
• Strong understanding of DSO products, services and strategic path
• Analytical mindset with an ability to question status-quo and generate innovative ideas
• Experience successfully influencing teams responsible for implementing and supporting complex programs involving extensive change management. High-level knowledge of Visa’s core platforms
• Executive-level interpersonal and communication skills, and proven ability to collaborate and negotiate with and influence customers and resources at all levels
• Self-starter with a proven ability to achieve exceptional results
• Functional experience in payment processing and client management in a payments environment
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong business relationships with internal and external stakeholders at senior and executive management levels
• A proven track record for making sound business decisions, setting direction and managing both short and long-term goals to achieve high quality operational results and customer commitment
• Strong verbal and written communications
• A proven ability to synthesize insights and present findings effectively in written and presentation formats
• Proficient in performing casual analysis to identify changes to improve processing performance and/or profitability to achieve the highest level of operational excellence
• Microsoft suite expertise
• Appropriate business and technical acumen
• Off business hours as required
• International travel as required
