The Region Manager for the Alameda/Santa Clara Region is responsible for all aspects of the Branch Banking network.
Major Responsibilities:
• Overall responsibility and accountability for sales performance, customer experience, and operational integrity.
• Responsible for implementing activity based management through direct coaching of branch managers.
• Responsible for driving consultative sales and service approach.
• Required to actively inspect and monitor regions through frequent field office visits.
• Provide leadership, advice, and guidance to assigned branch managers.
• Collaborate with partners to drive market penetration and market share (i.e. in Commercial Bank, Private Bank, UBIS, SBB, and Priority.)
• Set sales goals for Branch Managers.
• Develop business plans and initiatives to increase market share and drive performance of establish goals.
• Responsible for executing Priority Banking program strategy.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the staff regarding the program.
• Routinely monitor the program, policies and practices, and assess appropriate changes to ensure the success of the program, including coaching of staff.
• Meet with program managers as well as staff to ensure implementation of the program is successful.
• Responsible for hiring the appropriate staff to support the goals assigned for branch sales and management.
• Also responsible for managing staff to meet customer service, sales, community relations, and employee development goals.
• Responsible for the profit & loss components of assigned region.
• This includes all activities related to the development and retention of a client base managed by branch managers and other branch officers/staff.
• In conjunction with Bank's corporate marketing, responsible for implementation of marketing initiatives.
• Responsible for partnering with marketing to develop new retail marketing plans to reach new customers and expand the services used by existing Bank customers.
• Responsible for local marketing activities.
• Occasionally, may be involved in calling-on and negotiating with major prospects and customers in order to develop business relations and grow the client base.
• Actively represents the Bank in the community and at not-for-profits.
Qualifications
• Proven leadership/coaching skills.
• Proven sales and sales-management track record.
• Sound operational and risk management knowledge.
• Highly developed interpersonal skills.
• Strong consumer, small business, and commercial lending skills.
• High level of community involvement.
• Strong staff management experience.
• Requires demonstrated successful sales experience and the ability to develop successful sales skills in others.
• Extensive working experience in branch banking level required.
• Prior Region Manager experience required.
• Requires 2+ prior regional managment experience as well as direct work experience in sales coaching and business development and marketing strategy experience.
• Strong analytical and effective written and verbal communication skills.
