Job Description Summary
Responsible for product development and product management of a subset of U.S. funds and their non-registered sub-funds, including oversight of the lifecycle and viability of the funds.
Responsibilities
• Define, develop and deliver products to support Transamerica Asset Management’s strategy and product management function. Develop new U.S. funds, including product design and implementation.
• Oversee product management of U.S. fund legal vehicles and sub-funds, including ongoing profitability analysis, review of fund fees and expenses, and interaction with Management Company, intermediaries and regulatory/compliance units.
• Recommend changes to fund structures, expense allocations, total expense ratios (TER), and closure/merger of individual funds and/or sub funds.
• Carry out sub-advisory relationship management.
• Represent the team during meetings with senior management and stakeholders; provide guidance and assist with issue resolution.
• Create and deliver presentations to senior management and peers on R&D research outcomes; highlight strategic recommendations for new products, enhancements, etc. Promote overall strategy and day-to-day tactics.
• Lead complex, strategic projects, including commercial, regulatory and governance.
• Contribute to market analysis to identify product opportunities and improve the competitive positioning of the product range.
• Contribute to the development of marketing support, including key messaging and promotion to support sales efforts and drive awareness.
• Maintain comprehensive marketing plans and production schedules to ensure quality and timely execution of initiatives.
• Organize product training calls and materials; leverage technology to share information.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business related field or equivalent experience
• Five years of experience in a product management/product development role.
• Experience in a sales-driven, multi-channel, distribution environment.
• In-depth understanding of the mutual fund industry as it relates to the UCITS and non-UCITS environment.
• In-depth understanding of investment products, the financial industry and capital markets.
• Knowledge of structuring and the operation of mutual funds in U.S. jurisdictions.
• Project management skills.
• Experience using industry databases (e.g. Morningstar, eVestment, Simfund, Lipper, Mercer, Bloomberg).
• Proficient using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• FINRA Series 7
• CFA
