The HR Business Partner Manager is responsible for providing HR generalist support through building relationships with management and employees while providing direction and guidance.
Reporting to the AVP, HR Business Partner, this role is to serve as a consultant to the business units aligned with the organization’s culture, policy/procedures, and best practices.
This position will also be responsible for day-to-day human resources functions in the areas of employee relations, coaching and counseling, performance management, change management and organizational development.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Advises and guides management in best practice performance management and ensures consistency and adherence to company policies and applicable employment law.
• Reviews, consults, and makes recommendations to management regarding various HR related matters such as: performance management, leaves of absence, promotions, terminations, organizational design, job documentation, and salary administration.
• Review, conduct, and document employee related investigations.
• Administration of FMLA and unemployment claims.
• Develops, administers, and presents employee climate survey, new hire survey, and exit interview assessments.
• Develops and presents various HR related training programs including: new hire orientation and various manager training.
• Reports and analyzes trends in turnover and recruiting.
• Leads and assists on department projects and other initiatives.
Core Requirements:
• Graduation from a 4-year college or university with major course work in a discipline related to the requirements of the position is preferred. A high school diploma or state accepted equivalency is required.
• PHR/SPHR certification a plus but not required.
• Minimum of 10 years of HR generalist and previous experience in a high volume recruiting environment is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in communicating and building relationships with front line managers to be viewed as a trusted resource for advice and guidance.
