Position Overview:
The Bank Ops Lead position is one of the Sr. positions in our Reconcilement group. This position in Reconcilement, works within a team environment to provide high quality back office support for departments within Deposit Ops and other areas within the bank. This position provides general ledger and accounting support for Operations (Loans & Deposits) and the Accounting Department. Duties include ability to understand all accounts being reconciled in the area, including accounts with larger risk exposure. In addition, the position will assist reconciler with researching and clearing aged items. The Bank Ops Lead is knowledgeable of Accounting rules and guidelines. This position also works on non reconciling duties as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Ability to manage in Director’s absences
• Ensure sound risk management, internal controls, underwriting and servicing guidelines.
• Follow all Reconcilement requirements and regulations as set forth by the Accounting Department.
• Remain compliant with all SOX controls as it pertains to daily reconcilements and processes.
• Maintain a Satisfactory rating on all external and internal audits.
• Ability to determine the root cause of an error when needed by analyzing data and follow financial entries
• Accurately research and document aging items for clearing.
HOURS:
Monday - Friday; 8:00AM - 5:00PM
Requirements
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
• Demonstrable leadership ability
• Ability to communicate effectively with own team, other teams within the department, as well as line of business partners
• Ability to establish positive working relationships across the organization
• Ability to manage multiple issues in a timely manner
• Ability to succeed in a fast paced environment
• Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Must have a minimum of 8 years of financial reconcilement experience
• Must have 10 years banking experience in deposit operations or Equivalent Experience
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
• Work effectively with team members to cross train and provide backup duties for Reconcilements.
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of standard accepted practices or agreed upon Service Level Agreements
• High school diploma or GED required
• College degree preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and occasionally external customers
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with or without the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs
• Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
