Position Summary:
Kemper is adding to staff and seeking to hire an AVP, Business Process Analytics. In this position you will work with leaders to take problems and concepts and translate them into concrete executable actions. You will be responsible for leading a team embedded in the Property & Casualty business units. The team provides analysis, ideas, solution design and process engineering expertise to support the company’s strategy. This position ensures that the right resources with the necessary skills to support the business units are properly assigned and utilized. You will champion a data driven business culture and work to support the effective use of data across functional units to solve problems, identify opportunities, and measure outcomes. Provide strategic direction to a Business Process Engineering / Business Analysis center of excellence. Some travel is included.
Position Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Process and Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, or other related fields, or the equivalent in related work experience
• Masters Degree in Business Administration or Industrial/Systems Engineering a plus
• Software architecture experience a plus
• 5+ years experience managing a team of analysts or technical workers
• 5+ years experience as a business analyst or business process engineer
• Demonstrated experience designing solutions for complex business problems
• Experience evaluating and working on large multidisciplinary projects
• Insurance background preferred but not required
• SQL, Python, or equivalent data manipulation language skills required
• Business Process Mapping technology
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong teaching skills
• Strong mediation and negotiation skills
